Brit Milah (Bris)
The birth of a son is a joyous event for a family to celebrate. A Brit Milah (circumcision) signifies the covenant between G-d and the Jews and is normally performed on the eighth day following the boy’s birth.
Central Shule is always delighted to welcome even the smallest new members to our community. Should you wish to use the shule to host your bris, please download the form below and return to the Central Shule Office.
The Bar Mitzvah ceremony signifies a Jewish boy’s coming of age and rite of passage at the age of 13. The boy is now recognised as a man under Jewish law, able to participate in all areas of Jewish community life. He is able to join a minyan for prayer and Torah reading.
Central Shule recommends booking your son’s Bar Mitzvah as soon as possible after his birth to ensure the date is available for your simcha. To book a Bar Mitzvah, please download the form below and return to the Central Shule Office.
